Hey guys, excellent and informative show. Special thanks to Highway_Of_Life for the plug, it is most appreciated. I wanted to say that you guys nailed it on the head when it comes to editing the core code. One of the most annoying things about PHPbb2 was the way users usually had to edit the core code for mods to work. If you heavily mod your forum, that means hours of painstaking work, or simply don’t upgrade which is a huge security risk. I certainly hope PHPbb3 and it’s mod authors stay away from modding the cord code.
I also wanted to say that I freaking love WordPress. Which by the way Doug, I was only being sarcastic when I said I was jealous of you. I’d love to go to WordCamp although I just started using WordPress about 2 months ago. Live in the Bay Area certainly has it’s perks, especially if your into technology or the web.
Here is an idea for a future episode. I’d like to know what sort of steps the PHPbb3 team has done to make PHPBB more SEO friendly. SEO is a huge topic now adays and I think it is only fitting to have an episode based on PHPBB3 and SEO. I’m sure Highway_Of_Life could really help out in that department.
Keep up the good work. P.S. I will be sure to do a write up about this podcast. Maybe that will send the downloads even higher!
