phpBB Weekly is one of the few podcasts on the internet exclusively dedicated to the phpBB bulletin board software (actually, it’s one of only two that we know of), and enjoys a very loyal community of listeners who actively participate and listen to our episodes. We have been fortunate to be one of the first ones to truly provide comprehensive (and in some cases, exclusive) coverage of phpBB from perspective whose roots lie within our community of listeners.

However, we would love to be able to reach out to even more members of the phpBB community and share with them a place to hear the kind of coverage, discussion, and debate that phpBB Weekly offers and allow them to chime in on the conversation as well. Thus, we have provided a couple of ways here for you to promote phpBB Weekly to your friends and visitors to your website, if you are interested.

Podcast Promo

Do you have a podcast or other media production that you would like to promote our show on? We have a thirty-second promo spot available that tells about our show and where listeners can find us. You can preview it below, and download the promo (588 KB).

TalkShoe Episodes Badge

TalkShoe, the provider of the live podcast platform that hosts phpBB Weekly, provides a Flash badge that anyone can embed on their website, similar to the one on the sidebar at right. The badge lists the time of the next live episode and allows anyone to select any past episode to listen to which streams immediately via the badge. When the show is being recorded live (Saturdays at 12 PM EST/EDT), users can stream the show live directly from the badge as well. A link is also provided in the badge to the podcast episodes feed for users to subscribe.

To get a badge exactly like the one on our website, click the “get & share” link at the bottom of the badge and select the service that you would like to embed the badge on to, or click the embed button to just get the embed code. Alternately, if you wish to change the colors and/or orientation of the badge, there is a custom badge creation page available.

Banners and Images

We have two sizes of phpBB Weekly banners available that you can use to promote phpBB Weekly, and they are available in multiple filesizes (to compensate for websites which may have filesize restrictions on images, such as in forum signatures). Please make these banners link back to our main website at http://www.phpbbweekly.net, not to our TalkShoe listing or listings on other podcast directories.
Click on the banners to display them by themselves in your browser. In most cases, you should be able to download the banner by right-clicking on it and choosing “Download Linked File” or “Save Image” or something like that, along with a number of other options. Web browsers vary significantly in its image-saving procedures, so consult your browser’s documentation if you can’t figure it out.
